The Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) is an international forum of 29 countries and the European Union with an overarching mission of reducing the vulnerability of people worldwide to terrorism by preventing, combating, and prosecuting terrorist acts and countering incitement and recruitment to terrorism.

Our forum brings together experts and practitioners from countries and regions around the world to share experiences and expertise, and develop tools and strategies on how to counter the evolving terrorist threat. The GCTF is Co-Chaired by Morocco and the Netherlands.

Eighth GCTF Ministerial Plenary Meeting

NEW YORK – United States – On 20 September 2017, the GCTF Co-Chairs, Morocco and the Netherlands, will host the Eighth GCTF Ministerial Plenary Meeting.

This year’s Ministerial Plenary Meeting will focus particularly on implementing the GCTF’s Good Practices at national and regional level. It will also be an opportunity to take stock of the Forum’s efforts and achievements, discuss its priorities and highlight future initiatives to be launched under its auspices.

As GCTF Co-Chairs, Morocco and the Netherlands are determined to continue promoting the GCTF’s role in a strategic, long-term civilian approach to countering terrorism and violent extremism.
