The Netherlands, Morocco and the United Nations, Co-Leads of the Initiative on “Ensuring the Effective Implementation of Countering the Financing of Terrorism Measures While Safeguarding Civic Space” held the first of a series of three Expert Meetings aimed to identify lessons learned and inform the GCTF Good Practice Memorandum, to be presented for endorsement at the GCTF Ministerial Meeting in September 2021. This first expert meeting, entitled “Unpacking Complex Challenges: Addressing Technical Issues from a Multi-Stakeholder Perspective”, examined shared objectives and tension points in order to articulate priority issues for the initiative as well as map existing good practices and standards.
