Under the mandate of the Co-Chairs, Algeria and Germany, the West Africa Capacity-Building Working Group held an in-person regional meeting to discuss regional and collaborative approaches to strengthening border security in the region. 

Led by Germany and Kenya, the Initiative on Addressing the Nexus Between Climate Change and Violent Extremism conducive to terrorism held an in-person workshop in Nairobi, Kenya, exploring the current evidence and approaches on the links between climate change and insecurity, with a focus on violent extremism conducive to terrorism in Africa.

Led by the United Kingdom and the United States, the Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems and New, Emerging, and Disruptive Technologies Initiative held a dialogue on preventing terrorist exploitation of new, emerging, and disruptive technologies.

Under the mandate of Kenya and Kuwait, the East Africa Capacity-Building Working Group held a workshop to discuss DDRR efforts in the region.
