As a GCTF-inspired institution, the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ) facilitates the work of the GCTF Criminal Justice and Rule of Law Working Group (CJ-RoL WG), co-chaired by Italy and Nigeria. The CJ-RoL WG focuses on the critical role played by the criminal justice sector in combating terrorism and demonstrates the Forum’s commitment to effective criminal justice systems within a rule-of-law framework and human rights compliant approaches.
In support of the GCTF CJ-RoL Working Group’s activities the IIJ is looking for two consultants:
- A consultant to prepare a policy toolkit to support the implementation of Good Practices 4 and 7 in the GCTF The Hague Memorandum on Good Practices for the Judiciary in Adjudicating Terrorism Offenses Memorandum.
- A consultant to conduct research on models and practices related to the protection of witnesses and criminal justice officials in counterterrorism cases to support the implementation of Good Practices 4 and 7 in the GCTF The Hague Memorandum on Good Practices for the Judiciary in Adjudicating Terrorism Offenses Memorandum.
